A privacy fence is the most-requested job we get in Jacksonville, usually for a back yard, a pool, or a new neighbor. The two questions that decide everything are height and wind. Most Duval County back yards allow six feet; some HOAs cap it lower, and we check before we quote so you are not tearing it back down.
A solid privacy panel acts like a sail in a storm. For exposed lots we build board-on-board or shadowbox, which read as private from the street but let wind pass through instead of pushing the whole fence over. On sheltered lots a standard flat-panel privacy fence is fine and costs less.
If your goal is to keep a dog in rather than keep eyes out, a privacy fence may be more fence than you need. We will point you to a cheaper option when that is the honest answer.
